His invention, a mirror that distorts light to create a parallel world, is a marvel of modern science, but it also harbors a dark secret.

One evening, as Seok-jin tests the mirror in the solitude of his laboratory, he notices an eerie reflection that doesn't match the room's reality. Intrigued, he reaches out to touch the image, and in a flash of light, he finds himself in a mirror's distorted world—a dystopian Korea where technology has spiraled out of control, and the government wields absolute power.

Seok-jin is disoriented, but he quickly realizes that he has traveled back in time to a moment before the government's rise to power. As he navigates the parallel world, he discovers that the mirror has not only allowed him to travel through time but also to influence the past, potentially changing the future.

His first encounter with a group of resistance fighters leads him to the revelation that his own father was instrumental in the government's rise. Determined to prevent this dark future, Seok-jin joins the resistance, using his knowledge of the future to guide them through a series of dangerous missions.

As the resistance grows, so does the government's awareness of the parallel world. The government's enforcers, the Mirror Men, begin to hunt Seok-jin, seeking to eliminate him as a threat. Each mission becomes more perilous, and the lines between the two worlds blur, as Seok-jin finds himself in increasingly surreal situations.

During one of his missions, Seok-jin discovers a hidden chamber in the resistance's base that holds the key to the mirror's power. Inside, he finds a book that reveals the true purpose of the mirror: to protect humanity from itself. The book also contains a warning: the mirror can only be used once, and it must be used with extreme caution, as the act of changing the past can lead to a future worse than the one he seeks to avoid.

As the government's grip tightens, Seok-jin faces a moral dilemma: to use the mirror to prevent his father's role in the government's rise or to let the past unfold as it should, accepting the consequences. The climax of the story arrives when Seok-jin makes his decision, and the mirror shatters, leaving him to face the consequences of his actions in the present.

The story concludes with Seok-jin returning to his own time, where he discovers that the resistance has been successful in preventing the dystopian future. However, he has also lost his closest friend in the process, and he is haunted by the knowledge that his actions have altered the fabric of time, potentially creating new, unforeseen problems.
